Es improbable que el Stanley Wilson del que se habla en la carta firmada por M. Wilson sea el mismo que el de la misiva que escribe Lloyd Wilson, pues la primera está escrita en 1917 y agradece a Alfonso XIII las gestiones realizadas para localizar al militar (que resulta estar preso), mientras que la segunda se escribe en 1918 y se realiza una petición de búsqueda. Además, en una carta se dice que era soldado y, en la otra, capitán.
