Casado con Magdalena de Voisins (1844).
Fallecido el 1871-10-24.
Natural de Lupko (Polonia), fue capitán del ejército polaco, reconocido por su participación en el Levantamiento de Noviembre contra Rusia, y fotógrafo de cámara de las Reinas de España y Portugal, además de profesor y promotor de fotografía por el sur de la Península Ibérica.
En 1843 se mudó a Sevilla, donde defendió la ciudad y a la Reina Isabel II durante el asedio de Antonio Wan-Halen. Ese mismo año fue nombrado Caballero de la Orden de Isabel la Católica. En 1847 se mudó a Málaga, donde inauguró el primer estudio de daguerrotipos de la ciudad.
