Según la peticionaria el militar zarpó de Southampton el 04-10-1914, poco después envió una postal en la que comentaba que habían hecho marchas duras pero que no había entrado en combate todavía. Esa es toda la información que aporta la carta, lo que imposibilita poder asignar una batalla y lugar de desaparición
