La peticionaria cuenta en la carta que es nacida Condino (ciudad del Trentino actualmente en territorio italiano que entonces era territorio austriaco), pero se refugió con su familia en Italia al inicio de las hostilidades entre Austria e Italia. Su marido, en cambio, permaneció en Austria.
