History
Hijo de Alonso de la Puente, funcionario de la Chancillería, y de María Vázquez. Ingresó en la Compañía de Jesús el 2 de diciembre de 1574. Se dedicó al sacerdocio, la teología y la escritura ascética. Es el autor de "La Vida maravillosa de la Venerable virgen doña Marina de Escobar", una recopilación de los relatos de visiones de la fundadora de la Orden Brigidina.
Falleció en Valladolid el 16 de febrero de 1624.
