Los hermanos Antonio (L-Aquila 1818 - Roma 1893) y Paolo Francesco (L-Aquila 1827- Roma 1889) constituyen una de las compañías fotográficas más exitosas de la Roma. Fotógrafos de la corte papal hasta 1870 y de la nobleza romana y, a partir de 1862, también de la antigua familia real napolitana exiliada en Roma. La actividad del estudio continúa con los sucesores hasta el siglo XX, de hecho se atestigua hasta alrededor de 1950.
