Realizó su testamento en 1558, mientras que residía en el Virreinado de Nueva España.
Falleció en 1571 en la ciudad de México, dejando todos sus bienes al Convento de Santa Clara. No obstante, fueron confiscados los 18.131 maravedíes de juro por la Casa de la Contratación de Sevilla, al proceder de Indias.
