History
Es una oficina de la Iglesia Católica en España. Representa diplomáticamente a la Santa Sede y en cuya cabeza está el Nuncio Apostólico o embajador de la Santa Sede.
Desde el tiempo del rey Juan II de Castilla (1405-1454) y principios del reinado de Enrique IV, nos encontramos al Nuncio Marzo Antonio de Veneris usando el titulo de Nuncio en España. Estos nuncios reunión junto a su carácter legacial, el diplomático ya que no actuaban solamente como legados pontificios, sino que también representaban en la Corte española al Sumo Pontifice como rey temporal
Con carácter permanente desde 1528.
En la actualidad, la Nunciatura apostólica de España incluye el Principado de Andorra, históricamente dependiente de la Diócesis de Urgell
