History
Nació en Fuenllana, Toledo, en 1486, pero su infancia y juventud transcurrieron en Villanueva de los Infantes, por eso, se le llamará santo Tomás de Villanueva.
Obtuvo el título de Maestro en artes en la Universidad de Alcalá. Después pasó a Salamanca, donde ingresó en el Convento de San Agustín, lugar de su profesión religiosa, que se celebró el 25 de noviembre de 1517.
Fue confesor y predicador de Carlos V y arzobispo de Valencia, lugar donde falleció en 1555.
